ABOUT
FC Newlands are a FA chartered league club that was established in May 2015. The team are extremely proud to say that we are sponsored by the Hednesford based Mcdonalds store. We are a local football team that is affiliated to the Staffordshire FC and are based in Heath Hayes, Cannock, Staffordshire. At present we consist only of one under 10 yrs team but will be expanding in the near future. The team will be competing in the Walsall Youth League and early performances in pre season friendlies and tournaments have been extremely satisfying. The coaching staff understand the importance of creating a positive learning environment for the children. Please take a minute to read about the manager to highlight the credentials of this team,

Team Manager and Chairperson Stuart Harris
I am an ex international athlete in the discpline of Judo. From the age of 11 I have represented Great Britain, travelling all over the world and competing against the best.In 1995 I won a Youth Olympic Bronze Medal and came 9th Place at the Junior World Championships. I have been trained by the best coaches accross the world and intend on bringing this experience into my Football coaching. I have a wealth of experience working with athletes and young children. I have set up and ran Judo teams in both school and the community for many years. Whilst I also have an extensive background in the fitness industry as a qualified Gym Instructor. I have worked at establishments such as David LLoyd leisure designing fitness programs. I have also gained a diploma in sports studies. I understand childrens fitness and development needs as I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports studies which was achieved at one of the best sporting universtities in England, Loughbourough Universtity. I was awarded a sports scholorship during my studies in recognition for my sporting achievements in the world of Judo. I have been able to transfer my sporting knowledge to the sport of Football. I am now an FA qualified coach and ready to ensure that this club goes from strength to strength. Thankyou for taking the time to read about me.
